Installation Guide AMS Suite: Intelligent Device Manager

To run the utility:

1. Select Start > Run from the Windows taskbar.

2. In the text box, type C:\AMS\BIN\DELTAVFASTSCANUTILITY.EXE (where C is the

drive containing the AMS folder).

3. Uncheck the box for the appropriate DeltaV network.

4. Click Save Changes.

The AMS ValveLink SNAP-ON application is supported for DeltaV I/O and PROVOX I/O

cards, but not for RS3 cards.

See “PROVOX” on page 36 for I/O requirements.

The DeltaV System Interface supports AMS ValveLink Diagnostics. Analog output

modules configured for HART are required on the DeltaV substation for

communication with HART FIELDVUE digital valve controllers. F

OUNDATION fieldbus

FIELDVUE digital valve controllers need only be commissioned and ports

downloaded.
